Contract to invoice, in one connected place

Mono keeps a client's contract, the work that delivers it, the hours it takes and the invoice that closes it in one connected place — so an agency finally knows which work is worth doing.

The core idea

One chain, end to end

Most competitors own one link and integrate the rest. Mono's pitch is that the whole chain lives in one place, so the numbers at the end come straight from the work at the start instead of being typed in again. Each step below is a real dependency — you cannot create the next without the previous.

01

Client

Who the account does work for.

02

Contract

The commercial agreement, with a scope and a deadline that downstream scheduling is validated against.

03

Board

Ordered columns hanging off the contract — where its work is planned.

04

Ticket

The unit of work: who it is for, what it should take, large items broken into smaller ones, sprints, automatic hand-offs, and @-mentions.

05

Time

Minutes logged against a ticket, feeding the timesheet, the workload view, and labour cost.

06

Invoice & profit

What was billed set against what it cost — revenue minus expenses and labour, per client.

Because time is logged on a ticket that belongs to a contract that belongs to a client, per-client profitability is a read of existing data, not a spreadsheet exercise. That is the argument for buying the chain instead of assembling it.

The logic underneath

Rules that make the chain hold

Work cannot exist without a client

A board only exists on a contract, and a contract only on a client. There is no orphan project, so every hour and cost already knows which client it belongs to.

Deadlines are checked, not decorative

A contract has an end date, and work scheduled past it is flagged. The system also warns the team before a contract lapses.

Hours drive three things at once

Logging time on an item updates what remains on that item, the person's capacity picture, and the labour cost in the client's profitability.

The board can act on its own

Moving an item between columns can claim it, hand it off, clear the owner, re-assign, change priority, or notify someone. Set once per board, then it runs itself.

Capacity is measured, not guessed

Each person's load is calculated against a 40-hour week from live items and logged hours, with overdue counted separately.

Permissions narrow themselves

What a role can reach depends on which modules the package includes, so a Starter account has no Finance permissions to hand out by mistake.

Commercial model

Three packages, priced per seat

Prices are per seat, per month. Annual billing quotes a discounted monthly rate and charges twelve months up front. Every package has a three-seat minimum.

Trial

$0/mo

Teams evaluating the delivery loop before committing. No credit card.

Core delivery, capped: 3 seats, 2 clients, 2 contracts, 2 boards, 2 sprints, 100 tasks.

Starter

$9/seat/mo

Small teams leaving the trial who need delivery only.

Unlimited clients, contracts, boards, tasks, sprints. Time tracking, teams, services, roles.

Starter and Pro are identical on delivery. The entire price step buys Finance (invoices, expenses, budgets, per-client profitability), Reports, and HR (departments, leave, attendance).

The product surface

Twelve modules, gated by package

Clients

Client records and profiles — the commercial root.

Contracts

Agreements, scope, deadlines, expiry warnings.

Boards

Ordered columns per contract, progress tracked over time.

Tasks

Tickets with assignees, estimates, links, comments and @-mentions.

Sprints

Scrum planning with velocity and burndown.

Time tracking

Minutes against a ticket; drives timesheets, capacity and labour cost.

Teams

Working units with in-team roles and the services each member can deliver.

Workload

Per-member capacity against a 40h baseline.

Services

Catalogue of deliverable capabilities sold under contracts.

PRO

Finance

Invoices, expenses, budgets, and per-client profitability.

PRO

Reports

Eleven reporting views across delivery pace, bottlenecks, people and workload.

PRO
